Our Studio
After many years designing jewelry and accessories for brands like Proenza Schouler, Giles & Brother, Tory Burch and Alexander Wang, Jeannie started JKJ as a way to connect to the process of making.
Working out of her village home and studio in New York City, each object is conceived by Jeannie using ancient techniques like ‘lost wax casting,’ in which a piece is meticulously hand carved out of jeweler’s wax.
Carefully exploring texture and weighing proportion along the way, there is a silent communication between maker and piece when using a slow design process like wax carving. It unfolds into the distinctive pieces you can see in the JKJ collection.
JKJ believes in celebrating individual spirit and beauty, emphasizing personal strength and power.
I’m always available to chat, don’t hesitate to contact me at hello@jeanniekim.com.
